Openings available for postdoctoral researchers in turbulence research laboratory of institute of fluid mechanics at Tsinghua University
Introduction to the Institute:
Institute of Fluid Mechanics of Tsinghua University is an important base for fluid mechanics scientific research and education. It was established in 1958 on the foundation of the 'Engineering Mechanics Research Class,' founded by Qian Xuesen, Guo Yonghuai, Zhang Wei, and Qian Weichang. It was selected as a national key discipline in 2001 and 2006, and has consistently ranked among the top in subsequent discipline evaluations. Turbulence Research Laboratory of the institute focuses on fundamental and applied problems in turbulence, including wall-bounded turbulence simulation and mechanism research, complex boundary turbulence, and multiphase turbulence.
Recruitment Information:
Turbulence Research Laboratory plans to recruit postdoctoral fellows to engage in research work related to fluid mechanics. Postdoctoral applicants should meet the Tsinghua University postdoctoral recruitment regulations, be under 35 years of age, have obtained a doctorate degree for no more than three years, or be able to successfully complete a defense to obtain a doctorate degree in the near future. 1. Salary, insurance, etc., are implemented in accordance with the national and Tsinghua University post-doctoral management measures. For those not selected for the postdoctoral talent program, the pre-tax income is generally not less than 200,000 RMB. Specific salary is determined by the cooperating tutor based on the applicant's background. After being selected for the talent program, remuneration will be provided according to the talent program, and the pre-tax income is generally not less than 300,000 RMB.
2. Full-time postdoctoral fellows according to the regulations of Tsinghua University can generally resolve the issue of children's admission and enrollment and can apply for Tsinghua University postdoctoral apartments or enjoy rental subsidies.
3. It is recommended to apply for various postdoctoral support programs, including the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation project, the postdoctoral exchange support program introduction project, the postdoctoral innovative talent support program, the Tsinghua University Shuimu Scholar support program, the postdoctoral international exchange program academic exchange project, etc. (Some talent programs can be applied in advance. 4. The research team supports participation in relevant international cooperative research and exchanges during the post-doctoral research period, and participation in domestic and foreign academic conferences.
5. The postdoctoral contract period is generally 2 years, which can be extended with the consent of the post-doctoral fellow and the co-supervisor.
